Before the day
Getting your house ready
Not much. The lead calls the evening before to confirm, and these are the things that make the day smoother.
Clear a path
From the driveway to the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. Move boxes out of the attic walkway or the closet door.
Plan for the power
The system will be off for most of the day. Tell us about home offices, medical equipment or anything that needs a steady temperature.
Pets and kids
Doors open and close all day. A closed room, a crate or a day at a friend's keeps everyone safe.
Parking
The truck needs the driveway or a spot near the door. Tell neighbors if the street will be busy.
Mind the weather
Rain does not stop an install, but lightning does. If we have to move the day, we call you as soon as we know.
Questions saved up
Write them down. The lead has time for them at the walk-through, with the system running.
After the day
What you should have in hand
Before the crew drives away, you have these on paper, or in an email within the hour.
The model and serial numbers
Every piece of new equipment, matching the quote.
The permit and inspection date
The inspector may visit after install day. We tell you when, and what they look at.
Equipment registration
Manufacturers usually ask you to register new equipment to be covered. We help you do it, and the quote lists the terms.
The filter size and where it lives
And how often to look at it. We write it on the air handler.
A number to call
The office number, and the lead's name, in case something sounds wrong in the first week.
Ready to pick a day?
Start with a home visit. Install day is booked once you accept the quote.
